Perfect Attendance

Perfect attendance is where students never miss a class or make-up any classes that they were absent.

How to Make-up a Missed Class

We know that there may be times when your child can't attend class.  Missed classes can be made up by attending the child's regular class and then another class that day/night.  Sometimes the make-up class will not be of the same level as the child's regular class, but in most cases this is alright.  If ever in doubt of what is the best option for your child and his/her make-up, always ask the instructor for guidance.  Make-up classes must be pre-paid or paid the day the make-up is done.

If two classes on one night is not possible, then attending a class on a different day/night can be done as a make-uip even if the class is taught by another instructor of YCOA.  You can find classes in your area by scrolling over the word 'Programs' near the upper left corner and then click 'Locations' or call our office for assistance.

Please inform the class secretary at the check-in table or the instructor of the two classes your child will be attending.  Please ensure that your child understands he/she will be staying for an extra class that day/night.  When we know a child is doing a make-up, we give the child a 'smiley face sticker' which cheers them up, especially if they are unsure about doing another class, and identifies to the instructor the student is going to stay for another class.

All missed classes must be made up BEFORE testing day/night with any program that has a testing night.  In YCOA's soccer program, make-ups need to happen before the last game of the semester.  Students without perfect attendance will recieve a certificate for their participation,  In certain situations, students that do not have perfect attendance may be allowed to test but will not recieve their promotion until the classes are made-up the following semester.
