Youth Programs

Young Champions places a strong emphasis on creating the right classroom environment where individual performance is greatly enhanced by a sense of safety and well-being.

Our curriculum is evolving and fresh, with dynamic classes that grow with our students year after year. We provide a fun and enjoyable learning experience based on strong program standards that provide students with a solid foundation. Students begin with the basics and then move through progessively advanced levels, all while building a solid foundation in their chosen sport(s).  Start a child at any stage and watch them excel as they progress through each semester's program!

Many of our students begin to excel in areas such as mathematics, science, writing, music and drama, with their newly developed skills and confidence. Young Champions' programs provide benefits to students at every stage of a child’s development.

We strive to "Develop Life Skills for Youth", not just in specific sports, but in areas of their lives that students can utilize long after class attendance ends.

Karate / Kung Fu

Young Champions has developed one of the most exciting and comprehensive martial arts systems, especially adapted for teaching children and teens. Our system incorporates the most effective defense techniques from many martial art systems coupled with a comprehensive safety awareness course to provide an unparalleled curriculum for students. One key discipline which differentiates Young Champions from other martial art organizations is our unique approach to SAFETY AWARENESS. This discipline, which is promoted in all classes, provides specialized instruction in the defense against strangers (“STRANGER DANGER”).

Soccer

SoccerCome join a Young Champions Soccer Team and experience soccer how it was meant to be played! Players will learn all the necessary skills from the most fundamental techniques to advanced club-level play.

Emphasis is placed on learning in a non-competitive environment, with a healthy emphasis on making friends and having fun! Each week, coaches progressively teach skills such as controlling, dribbling, passing, goalkeeping, shooting and defending.

Cheerleading

cheerYoung Champions combines pom & cheerleading into one program. Students are taught cheerleading techniques such as cheers and chants with arm motions, jumps, kicks, stunting basics and teamwork. Students are also taught dance routines and other dance techniques, using poms as necessary to visually enhance the choreography. We have incorporated the most modern and current dance techniques into our curriculum, and have developed teaching methods that work best for children and teens.

Hip Hop

Hip HopYoung Champions combines urban street and mainstream hip hop dance into one program. Students are taught tricks, poses, breaking, choreographed dance routines, freestyle and dance techniques. Students are also taught how to be positive role models and well rounded students as Young Champions promotes good sportsmanship, increased self-esteem and awareness of self and others. We have incorporated the most modern and current dance techniques into our curriculum, and developed teaching methods that work best for children and teens.
