Young Champions combines pom & cheerleading into one program. Students are taught cheerleading techniques such as cheers and chants with arm motions, jumps, kicks, stunting basics and teamwork. Students are also taught dance routines and other dance techniques, using poms as necessary to visually enhance the choreography. We have incorporated the most modern and current dance techniques into our curriculum, and have developed teaching methods that work best for children and teens.
Showcases & Competitions
All Young Champions Cheerleaders are invited to attend and showcase their skills in the various Young Champions Special Cheer Events, such as Showcases and Competitions (not required) to be held during the semester. These events provide a great learning experience for all students while promoting competitive spirit, self-confidence and fun! Students will perform with their team, competing with other Young Champions' teams of the same basic age and skill level. All participants will receive a collectible trophy; at some events additional awards are also given. Everyone is a winner!
Regionals - Stage One: Open to all levels, nominal fee to participate.
State - Stage Two: Open to all levels who receive a bid to attend from a Regional or Stage 1 event. Nominal fee to participate.
Nationals - Stage Three: Open to levels 4 (Pro All Star), 5 (Elite), 6, 7 and 8 who receive a National Bid from their region/state. Bids to Nationals are earned via point system/placement.
