Hip Hop
Urban Jam/Showcase EventAll Young Champions Hip Hop students are invited to attend and showcase their skills in the various Young Champions Special Events, such as showcases, recitals and day clinics (not required) to be held during the semester. These events provide a great learning experience for all students by promoting competitive dance, self-confidence and fun! Students will perform with their team, competing with other Young Champions' teams of the same basic age and skill level. All participants will receive a collectible trophy; at some events additional awards are also given. Wristband TryoutsHip Hop students will also have the opportunity to tryout for 27 different wristband levels. Tryouts give students something to strive for, which prepares them for future tryouts on school or other dance teams. Tryouts are usually held one - two weeks prior to the each semester's Awards Ceremony. There is a tryout fee required on the day tryouts are held, in addition to the regular class fee. Tryouts are not required; they are optional. A new colored wristband will be awarded on the Awards Night for each level achieved. Wristband levels are designed to show student progression through the Young Champions Hip Hop Curriculum and students look forward to receiving their "new" level wristband each session. In essence, the wristbands show "student rank" in our Hip Hop program, much like a Karate Belt in a martial arts program. Class Times and FeesYoung Champions' Coaches assign class times based on students’ ages and abilities. Young Champions has multiple levels of teams. Specific levels offered per location/area may vary from State to State. As students progress, the class time duration and cost of weekly lessons will increase. Below are the different levels that are offered: Level 1: Juniorz - Ages 7 & 8 Level 2: Xtreme - Ages 9-11 Level 3: Platinum - Ages 12+ *Not all levels are offered in every City, State Hip Hop Program. |

Young Champions combines urban street and mainstream hip hop dance into one program. Students are taught tricks, poses, breaking, choreographed dance routines, freestyle and dance techniques. Students are also taught how to be positive role models and well rounded students as Young Champions promotes good sportsmanship, increased self-esteem and awareness of self and others. We have incorporated the most modern and current dance techniques into our curriculum, and developed teaching methods that work best for children and teens.
